"Blue Beads"
Blue Beads
Wrapping her shawl ...Around her
Emerging, from her leather Teepee
Her appearance, caused quite a stir
Every Brave's eyes, turned to see
She was known as .....Blue Beads
A beauty, yet a real "Spit-Fire"
Causing many hearts to bleed
Enchanting, like a pretty flower
Her heart belonged to "Bear-Slayer"
Who lived in the Village, by the Sea
To "Great Spirit" she asked in prayer
That one day, their love would be
Bear –Slayer had been on a mission
Blue Beads, worried if he'd be back
As she sauntered along, she was wishing
Bear-Slayer, wasn't wounded in attack
Long raven hair, moved with the breeze
As she walked along, toward the Sea
Saying "Spirit, make my mind at ease"
Bring Bear-Slayer home ....quickly
Off at a distance, Blue Beads sighted
Her young Brave, handsome and tall
The "Gods" caused them to be reunited
They had heard Blue Beads ....heartfelt call
Blue Beads face, so radiantly beautiful
As Bear-Slayer looked ...into her eyes
Both vowing to love each other, forever
Witnessed by "The Spirit" in the skies!
