    • Been on a hiatus for awhile, but I'm back and have the itch to write some poetry.

    Take a Joke

    have you ever met that person
    who just can't take a joke
    the one that if you kid with him
    he just might up and blow
    he has to take you seriously
    about everything you say
    if I told him that fish could fly
    he'd probably say no way
    sarcasm doesn't register
    no concept of it at all
    I just can't understand you guys
    learn to have a ball
    you've got to have a little fun
    life's too short, can't you see
    learn to joke around a bit
    don't take it so seriously

    perfect! love the message and the light-hearted delivery. for someone who's just starting out I'd say you've a natural gift...and here you've demonstrated an unusual ability to convey exactly the right tone. very well done. keep writing, I'll keep reading.
