A life less ordinary
for most that's what we seek
we want to go out skydiving
or scale that mountain peak
but why don't we do it
its out of fear I guess
we always go in wanting more
but are always taking less
but are our lives that ordinary
to us they may that seem
but to others peering in on us
it doesn't look that bleak
all the little things in life
that make us who we are
are the things in life we build off
and how we got our scars
its those scars that define me
make me who I am
they are from experiences
that tell about the man
as long as I can learn from them
mistakes are welcomed sights
they're how I can improve myself
and accept that its alright
to be the person that I am
and live the life I do
and not spend time wishing
that for one day I was you
