Lonley, saddened, broken, and shattered
Gave up all that really mattered
Fallin deep to ways assunder,leaning towards what makes me wonder
Like how would things be now if it had last
Relationship began and ended so fast
I let go, my defenses were down,
Pushed through the hurt that my heart had found
Why?, I wonder. Why did I do it?
I acted like there was nothing to it
My decision was made; you saw nothing coming
But felt the pain as your heart was numbing
No warning, no wonder nobody knew
Something I did on my own, I did to you
It hurt as it hit- hard, you fell
When it all came out, in my words as well
No longer loved you, hadn't for awhile
Yet,you never noticed how I'd no longer smile
We were fighting and fussing all our time away
Neither seemed happy...how could I stay?
Didn't like where we were going
Thought about what might be ahead-
I couldn't see the future, so I saw the end, instead
Beginning life alone... without you...--
Thought I'd be happier,-- but God only knew
-Regrets? Sure; for many things
The times we shared, the promise rings
Always having you by my side,
Making memories with new stuff we tried
Talks we shared, things we done
When we truly meant "Your the only one"
Age, does differ in many ways
Too old, too young - somebody pays
Lessons learned from being treated like dirt
In the end, somebody always gets hurt
Mislead, mistaken, and all the while thinking
Our love was forever; yet our boat was sinking
You loved me and I loved you..
Love was lying to both of us too
Falling apart, slowly drifting
Our happiness and trust; our love was shifting
-I'll admit, I imagined us being apart
Guess that's when the trouble did start
Wanted what I never had,-- not ever knowing, made me sad
Thought more and more about reaching out
Finding what it was my heart had in doubt
-- I let it go...I lost it all
Wasn't easy getting up after the fall
Find happiness, find a new friend, find out
Just how much I'd miss you in the end
Moved on: the feelings are gone; you met someone new
Pushed us aside, after all the tears dried
A sign were really through
--You deserve much better than me
Someone whose heart has loyality
Who makes you laugh, and makes you smile
Whose actions makes it all worth while
Shares your desires, and warms your heart
Fixes problems whenever they start
Someone who does not play games
Who never lies or calls you names
Listens to every word you speak
Helps to find what it is you seek
All those things I thought I could be
But something inside wanted to be free....
--I hurt you good, I hurt you bad
I made you cry and made you sad
I took your life and toar it apart
Took love for granted from the start
..For these many things, "I am Sorry"-
Words I say with true emotion
Wish I'd never done what I did
Or caused such a huge commotion
I wish I could go back,.... take it all back
Back to when we first begun
Back to when our love was true,
And you were the only one.....
