    THE WAY WE ARE

When we get mad at each other
And we end up in a fight
The words we say in a hurtful way
Are said just out of spite
When it's you and me who both disagree
The looks we give could kill
The things we do to "get back at you"
Is all about how bad I can make you feel
    When it's "DO" or "DON'T"..will or won't
It's done or it's not to make you mad-
Tell me to quit, throw a huge fit
Either way- we both end up sad
We have our quarrels and up and downs
And we have fun and laughter too
Good times, bad times, fun and sad times...
I'm glad they are all with you!!
For all the little things, special stuff, and for no reason at all-
For the times we share, way we care, & when were up against a wall--
Wrong choices, screaming voices, bringing up the past
Warm embrace, smiling face, memories meant to last
--For all of these things are true; I'd be lost without you
Your my heart, my soul, my friend-
All I want, all I need, always...till the end
I'd be lost without you,-- though,-- at times I may doubt you
    I am only human and so are you;
It's alright to overlook some things I may do
But tell me if I'm doing wrong, be by my side if I'm not so strong
Help to show me the way, guide me, teach me,-
I'll always be where you can reach me
Your my sunrise in the morning, my breeze throughout the day
My start of everything I do- my hope along the way
My finish of every evening, my brightest shining star-
So we must learn to except each other like this--
That's just the way we are.........

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
