I always thought this day would come...
Not knowing that I'd be right
For at one time he was your world
The one that held you tight
-He told you from beginning
That he didn't think it would work-
Age was a factor-he acted like a jerk..
Yet,so young you still kept falling...
For a guy who first said "No"
He knew you were to young-
But you could not let him go...
-You fought for him with all your might;
Fought with both moms & dad
But still you held on very tight..
Cause "LOVE" is what you had
Your one true first-- is now your worst
And you've had a change of heart
Took a chance-- to find romance
So close yet; so far apart
-Jealousy, honesty, cheating, or being true-
Fighting with each other is all you seem to do
It went from being loving, gentle,& so understanding---
To anger, controlling, mean & demanding-
--To understand? Don't know if I can;
Can't say I blame you,that I am happy or that I agreed--
Now you know that you can break a heart-
But if it's your heart that's getting broken-
You'll learn then "LOVE" is all that you need....
-Relationship's ending as your getting older
Wiser, smarter, and a little bit bolder-
Choices are made, from mistakes you are still learning
Not sure what you chose is what you are yearning
To wonder if theres more than this as time keeps growing
Makes you want to take a chance when you have a chance of never knowing--
--I knew this day would come & it too, in time, shall pass
Memories made-they too, will fade...cause time goes by so fast
--I know he truly loved you and he most likely always will
He'd give you the world and die for you- maybe even kill..
When he told me he'd marry you now or even if he had to wait,
-how he wanted to move far away & take you out of state-
How he knows he'd found the one for him, both of you wanting commitment
---Now there's only hurt and pain and I'm sure there's some resentment
Words you say, hit hard each way, & actions, they do speak
You hurt his pride and his heart died......broken, alone, and weak...
I had gotten to like him-and a future he could provide-
When you said you'd love him forever... in truth, I guess you lied
I knew this day would come, though I did not know how it may end-
I only hope your doing what's right...& I hope you can keep him as a friend
