What happened finally happened, yet it happened all to fast
Time flew by before our eyes, now that time has come at last.
Seems like only yesterday-today, now done and gone
Tomorrow will be here soon as time continues on
The past is through and each day is new and time starts over again
When really it just continues on, cause time has no end
Though it is time for a new beginning, a chance to begin a start
Lessons that you may have learned- you now will take to heart
Remembering...almost everything, some things good & others bad
But never forgetting that special bond and closeness that we had
Growing up can mean growing apart and that can be the hardest
But giving up is another thing, which also is not the smartest
Trying to hard to prevail...can also set you up to fail-
so be cautious in all that you do--
Stop to think before you decide, be sure to think things through
Knowledge is something you will gain when you are on your own
With no one there to guide you or there to lead you home
Decisions now are yours to make and you decide what choice to take
Some will be wrong when others are right, and when things look bad thats when you must fight
Just stand firm and hold your ground, realize then the courage you've found
If you make mistakes you'll learn from them, so you won't make the same mistake again
Give advice but also take it, if you do what I've said, your gonna make it
-Your all grown up and theres so much still ahead..wish you could stay little forever instead
But there comes a time when parents must let go
It's harder for us than our children know
Time for our angels to spread their wings
New found freedom and other things
Just make one promise to me, that you won't forget how close we use to be
How much I love you, how much you'll be missed
How I'll always be here if your boo boo's need kissed
I'm only always a phone call away but I'll still be missing you everyday
I'll be there for a shoulder to cry on, and maybe sometimes the one to rely on
I'll forever be here for you though I can't always keep you from danger
You'll always be my baby girl....just don't become a stranger........
