Never Look Back
Look what our lives have in store
Seems as if there's life, No more
Behind these bars all day I sit
No privacy to take a shit
I wonder what it's like outside
I long to take a Sunday ride
The flowers grow and the day gets hot
Can't see if theres rain or not
I wonder if it is cloudy or fair
I wonder if theres still life out there
-Behind these cement walls all day
I sit as time passes away
Time is all you got locked up in here
But it helps to know that God is near
This is what life has in store
Things are worse than my life before
Other women sit in this cell-
They wonder about these things as well
In here, it can be hard to get along
But we live together so we must be strong
Behind these bars you need a friend
Side by side, until the end
Many days and nights there are tears to cry
Our life is hard,-God knows we try
All of us will get out someday--
To never look back when we walk away.....
