THE WAY IT HAD TO END
It seems to be getting easier cause time has a way of healing
Although at times there is still hurt and you can't control the way your feeling
The way it ended was hard to accept, not knowing what was on her mind
To look for the answers, or ask questions- some things are better left behind
To say she always felt this way would not have been at the beginning
A young girl, in a grown-up world- to her, again, she's winning
I know you think she hates you and she probably thinks that she does too
But when two people fall out of love... you really hate the things they do
To love someone like she loved you then hate them with all your might,
Is just an emotion, she has yet to understand- being done all out of spite
Maybe time played a part in falling out of love
Know one can read ones mind to know what their thinking of..
The things that were done by each one is most likely the reason why-
To fully know what exactly what that is, may not be worth the try
In the beginning, at the start, when no one else could fill your heart
The closeness shared, the way you cared, a lover, a partner, a friend
Now you wonder why it came to this- what made it come to the end?
-If you love someone so damn deep, and think you've got it made
Then how could someone hurt you so bad; was a part of them afraid?
To be so mean at the end when I thought we were friends and more...
Tells me, we could never be the way we were before--
I thought atleast we'd always be; that person whose always there for me
A shoulder to cry on, someone to rely on, a helping hand if ever a need
But I guess, more or less- to be apart is the only way to be freed
If two lovers could ever be friends even after all is said and done
I know it would not be the two of us, cause that is how this all begun
Maybe in time when we've both moved on & grown up, grown apart as a friend-
Maybe then, maybe somehow, we will understand "why"-- the way it had to end
