    WHENEVER SOMEONE DIES

Whenever someone dies there is so much sorrow and grief
Perhaps for the suffering one; no more pain,- instead relief
Although we wish they'd live forever, we know that cannot be
For there comes a time for all of us- a day we cannot see
We too, will pass through-- those golden pearly gates
And on the otherside we'll see those loved ones whom awaits
Whenever someone dies, there's heartache, pain, and tears-
Often remembering the memories and the love throughout the years
The things they did or may have done, or things they wish they had
Either way, it's over now...and everyone's so sad
Left behind are all of those who loved and knew them best
Can't help but cry, and wonder why, as they are laid to rest
Whenever someone dies, we often loose a real true friend
Someone we could call upon and offer a hand to lend
A relative, a spouse, friend, or maybe a sister or brother
Once their gone they can't be replaced, there will never be another
Ofcourse we know they are in a palce far better off than we
But that does not make pain go away or things the way there suppose to be-
Whenever someone dies, there comes a time to mourn
We may have met only weeks before, or known them since they were born
Family gathers along with friends to pay respects to the deceased
Hearts are broken, words are spoken and tears are soon released
Time will heal the way we feel on such a sorrowful day
Memories will carry on- with special things to say
The times we shared, how one cared,- from beginning to the end
We all move on even though their gone, as we say good-bye to a friend
Whenever someone dies, people may come from many miles
Only to wish they'd said good-bye when their face was full of smiles
Now to late to tell them or share with them your love
To let them know they were someone you were often thinking of--
Services prayed, songs played that tell loved ones good-bye
Like "Will the Circle be Unbroken, By and By Lord, By and By"
"Amazing Grace"- tears fill the place; maybe "How Great Thou Art"
-No matter what hymn is sung, each word touches the heart...
Whenever someone dies, and you see them laying there-
Hurt and pain and tearful cries, such agony and despair..
Yet, they seem so peaceful and suffer pain no more
Makes you wonder why you feel this way and what the tears are for?...
Because their gone, because their resting, because it's over now
Because that's the way we say good-bye- the way we all know how
Heaven's gates for them awaits; God has called their name
And written in the book of life; he called to them, they came
The Angels sings and spread their wings and leads them to their home,-
Where they are at rest, and now found peace sitting at God's throne
Whenever someone dies, tears you can expect
Many say Good-bye and pay their last respect
Condolences are offered that day along with the sorrow
For knowing they are not here with us and will not be tomorrow
In due time the hurt will heal- memories, they help us deal
    Good thoughts carry us through----
-To share the things, and talk about the things we use to do...
Pictures say a thousand words, keep a special one if you can find it
Because not only is pictures a memory but theres always a story behind it
What a shame this is for some the only time people get together
-Just to say Good-bye to someone ya loved; now lost and gone forever
It's sad to shed all the tears and the reason is for saying "good-byes"
Knowing the next time you will probably see them again... is
    Whenever someone dies........... 10/18/06

very well done and so true

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
