Being More Christ-like
I think about His sacrifice . . . His pain in the garden . . .So I know He knows me.
I think about His last moments, so I know he knows you.
Every day we ask the same question with the same fear in our hearts . . .
The fear of losing, the fear of feeling, the fear of vulnerability . . .
The fear of dying alone.
I can't stay and watch you die and you can't keep me from living life
But we both believe this decay ain't worth living.
The irony of being survived by life and not immortality has pros and cons . . .
So I meditate on His Word and I ask Him for guidance
As I watch your hands and feet be nailed.
I take another deep breath as you bleed . . .
And I ask myself and the Almighty Himself if I should walk away
Or trade places . . .
For even one so close to the grave deserveth not crucifixion . . .
