Lead Her Not Into Temptation . . .
She's waited . . .
Dated that bottle for hours now . . .
Sedated.
One state away and no missed calls . . .
Sever your lifeline . . .
Your patience has served this vigil kept in vain . . .
The emptiness of night . . .
Alone in the dark seaching for a face to dream.
A means to escape the nightmare of unremembered sleep . . .
You can tell from the lines on her face that she's breaking down.
Only the stronger one held within stiffens her resolve.
If my timing were impeccable I'd be giving her comfort . . .
Were I not so bloodsoaked and disheveled I would approach her.
Solitude takes it's toll and I can't conjure beauty . . .
I lie awake, sweating from the exertion that should belong to someone else . . .
So she waits, crimson lipped
And here these blood red hands are shaking fits.
I'd lead this trail of blood straight to your door . . .
I emplore,
Cast your eyes away from me, whore.
Call it karma for not waiting . . . your coincidence still puzzles my brain.
I fear secrets more than death but I would die
All over again,
If you would speak my name.
Time and time again I'm drawn into this . . .
She wears innocence like perfume and the scent sends me convulsing,
I cannot . . . I will not defile you . . .
I am having trouble breathing . . .
So she waits, crimson lipped
And here these blood red hands are shaking fits.
I'd lead this trail of blood straight to your door . . . I emplore,
Cast your eyes away from me, whore . . .
Though suspicions run the gammit and curiousity gnaws at my brain
I have to let you go the way of all love affairs known to date . . .
Another face without a name.
Reverse the phrase . . . your conclusion still bears the mark.
Chalk me up insane for thinking of playing your song again.
The lie is not missing you . . . the truth reads clearly enough.
When I try to imagine companions I draw blanks . . .
My energy drains.
Burn the embers of recollection down,
There's no one around to stroke the flame . . .
Soon mourning will overtake me and I'll zombie walk the day . . .
Dated that bottle for hours now . . .
Sedated.
One state away and no missed calls . . .
