The Plummet
Your misery . . .
Deface me and everyone listens.
Melody and harmony spread forth from my fingers.
The eyes of the public close . . .
Scrape scabs clean, this new skin folds over ruin to repair.
Locked away . . .
Daylight a mere reflection of shadow,
Not waiting for the setting of the sun.
Take to the streets with wandering . . .
At the end of corruption lies the void.
Simply put,
You expect me to be blind and dumb.
Escape to erase the pain of the fallen.
The only one straddling the threshhold . . .
The passing sequences meant for glances I steal without shame.
Single out this army at odds with the world.
Alliance is reliance I can do without.
Call me crazy but I don't change . . .
Your puzzle faulted from the start,
Wondering why pieces don't fit.
