Romeo and Juliet
Are we so star-crossed to give ourselves to death for a fleeting kiss?
Are we so cruel to undermine all the lives around us?
Would that this fire burn cold to consume our wills
And leave ruin in it's wake,
Happiness torn asunder.
The walls in my house are closing in, the week counts away slow.
Everyone has their advice but not everyone can record love's tragedy.
Help me turn the page and breathe life into the bitter end.
I'm prepared to watch love suicide twice just to clear this away.
Maybe this fable is make-believe and written in pencil.
Before the knife erases this final act of lies,
Leave your tears to ink blot my paper . . .
Your eyes smolder, kindling ignites inside my soul.
Flames lick hungrily at my optimism and whisper to my doubts,
Fueling this state of mind that divides ambitions.
Ouarter off the sections of heart for now . . . presently unaccessable.
Your wild blue yonder swept me up in aggressive innocence.
