The Fall of Salem III (The Last Offense)
He mourns in weakness and thinks better of his candlelight vigil . . .
A torturous night of cold sweat and visions.
Led by the veil he placed on her head, this matrimony unholy . . .
Courted by the undead . . . his fate sealed.
On the 'morrow, three brave stand abreast along the battlefield.
Evidence of vile deception left a blood stained shield . . .
their captain slain.
Taking upon them the crest, valiant gallop through the fog . . . dispel.
Twisted roots and trees frustrate the approach . . .
There shall be no faltering, three brave ride in the name of fallen king.
Standing to all sides the underlings lie in wait . . .
Annihilate the intruders.
Having taken the bait their fate sealed . . .
They ride knowing of their defeat.
A vision passed through them, horses reared.
A moment of distraction awakens fear . . . another gateway opened.
Chains of the dammed overtake their limbs
And three brave are dragged to their death.
All on the home-front stand in silent wait for days . . .
All on the home-front shall be raised . .
All on the home-front stand in silent wait for days . . .
All on the home-front shall be raised . . .
