The Silence
I know nothing of joy, especially the joy that you feel.
You misunderstand my silence
And ignore all my attempts at conversation . . .
I complain too much without saying enough.
I look over into myself . . .
The paranoia of living has not left me.
All the idle time I spend extends . . .
Alone in a quite room.
Even I worry about my disposition,
Alcohol unlocks a more social counterpart.
The counterpoint to why you really don't like me,
One can feel the difference between tolerance and acceptance.
Stereotypically I don't fit in
And the activities required for membership
Read like character development instead of natural reaction to stimuli.
Stereotypically I don't fit it
And the activities required for membership
Frustrate and surprise the masses
Instead of lowering the barriers that seperate . . .
Even I worry about my disposition,
Alcohol unlocks a more social counterpart.
The counterpoint to why you really don't like me,
One can feel the difference between
Tolerance and acceptance.
You misunderstand my silence
And ignore all my attempts at conversation . . .
I complain too much without saying enough.
I look over into myself . . .
The paranoia of living has not left me.
All the idle time I spend extends . . .
Alone in a quite room.
Even I worry about my disposition,
Alcohol unlocks a more social counterpart.
The counterpoint to why you really don't like me,
One can feel the difference between tolerance and acceptance.
Stereotypically I don't fit in
And the activities required for membership
Read like character development instead of natural reaction to stimuli.
Stereotypically I don't fit it
And the activities required for membership
Frustrate and surprise the masses
Instead of lowering the barriers that seperate . . .
Even I worry about my disposition,
Alcohol unlocks a more social counterpart.
The counterpoint to why you really don't like me,
One can feel the difference between
Tolerance and acceptance.
