Beware the Black Widow

Beware the Black Widow

Does her whisper intrigue you
The way she dances through the crowd
Does she capture your attention
And do you cry out

Is it a demon with disguises
Floating freely to your soul
Is that the beauty of an angel
that cost you self control

Quiet eyes and whispers
Unasked questions in the night
Evil dance of untamed fire
Quests for strange and rich delights

Touched too easily the forbidden
So much has been consumed
Taken into the death of night
Beneath a blood stained moon

On the brink of passion
Flashes of unseen flames
Such a chilling distraction
Without a Name...

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
