Biography

Apparently poetry was an emotional release for me during a troubled youth. I have notebooks full of poetry that for some reason I did not throw away over all these years. I decided that perhaps there was a reason for them, maybe someone else would enjoy them. I have not written new poetry in probably 15+ years so for those of you who are reviewing the poetry I hope it has some benefit.

After reviewing the do's and don'ts about writing poetry I must admit that my work was definately all don'ts. I used poetry as a medium to work through some serious issues, a real rage and darkness that I was coping with at that time in my life. I have started with 10 random poems that I have posted for any interested reader. I have many more but the theme is recurring. I was in a rage for the dark period. And some of them get much darker so I am thinking about what level to share.

I will see how they are received and decide accordingly.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
