Fragments

Locked - too deep inside the black box
But no one has a key
Only me
But I can not seem to find the lock
And I know not

So many pages unwritten
Of the tears that flow to seas
Of the souls crying out simply in tears
And of the people unwilling to notice

The doors are always blown closed
But who wants to know
Perhaps one day to open
When the darkness has melted away
It forms the day?

So many pages unread
Of aching people sharing sorrow
attempting to show so many blind eyes
that this is their life

Seen again too vividly in a dream
As dreams become the nightmares
In the wilds of the captured nights
And their pains become the realities
Becomes their own truth of life
And they are left with only their tears

Returning again to an escape of the mind
Leaving behind that which is not understood
Standing Blind
Leaving harsh reality to return to sleep
To be tormented in the depth of their sorrow
And no one hears the agony

No one sees the torment of the soul
as the wishes are left to ashes
and life becomes a tomb
I am left seeking the depth of your eyes
trying to touch the gentle soul
the breeze of a whispered word
A loss of self control

Standing firmly in the quiet
but standing on a broken ground
that just might swallow up my soul
and leave it unfound
