Burned Out
You lit a flame
When I yearned
You tended to it
It always burned
Today it burned
So bright and hot
It pained it's vessel
Then it burned not
It's cinders died
Too early for cold
Because you left it
Breaking the mold
Now I am frigid
The warmth is dead
Now there's nothing
In my inebriated head
Alcohol's false warmth
The only heat I know
Until it burns away
Leaving me in snow
