    Calm Of Night's Embrace

     A full moon shines in the fog
    The gentle breeze whispers
    A damp chill hangs in the air
    As the crickets serenade me

    Alone on the street I walk
    Through this starlit town
    Not a single light is on
    Save for those in the sky

    How peaceful it all is right now
    This night is simply a wonder
    I stand fifteen feet tall
    Swelled by an inner calm

    A moment feels like forever
    Each step takes me a mile
    I don't mind the distance
    It feels good, in my soul

    Weariness sets itself in
    As I approach my home
    I enter and climb into bed
    For a dream filled slumber
