Corrupted
The body of Christ has becomeA soggy hamburger bun
His blood flows from a 2 liter bottle
In the hands of a flag-clad nun
A zombie stands as the president
Speaking for his undead nation
Mall-walkers and the youth
Slowly sucked into domination
Singers screeching notes of death
Sex and drugs pumped into our veins
From the foreign speaker sets
To free us from our pains
Our warriors are fighting and dying
For the cause of a soft drink
Guzzled down by enormous vehicles
Without even stopping to blink
A young man with a shaved head
Runs into his school wielding fire
His brain on the styrofoam ceiling
As his classmates sit and admire
Ranchers are slaughtering
Cattle with a logo on their side
They are processed for fast food
As the ignorant smile so wide
Black flags fly atop telephone poles
Signaling to the world around
That here there is corruption
And it is oh-so-easily found
This land has become corporatized
And the zombie people so submissive
Sit and eat their days away
As we all become more dismissive
Let's not be blind as the sheep
Let us not be cattle or the undead
But let's stand and fight for us
Let's be our own entities instead
