Tower of Heaven
Behold the ancient towerOf an unknown origin
A place of wonder and awe
Within much hidden within
A booming voice responds
Upon entering the door
"Many have come and fallen;
Will you be one more?"
The first few short floors
Provide little challenge
But the god here creates laws
On which your life will hinge
"You may not walk here,
And you may touch no gold
Beware of living things,
Else this tale be untold."
Through many great trials
And a nearly reaching death
I come at last to the final floor
And draw in a long deep breath
I peer outward into the sky
And behold something quite odd
A lone, fluttering butterfly
Is this the tower's fearsome god?
"So you have reached me
Atop my monolithic keep
You've robbed me of my secrets
So now this reward you'll reap..."
The ground rumbles awfully
We both fall to the ground
The tower collapses with me
The stone is my burial mound
