Lost But Never Forgotten
My dearest old friendAnd first true lover
Whenever I see you
How my thoughts hover...
On times that passed
On words that linger
Of love remembered
A feeling I hunger
Also on when I lost you
When we came undone
I hurt so awfully
I just needed to run
Thinking about you now
Oh, how I miss you so
My memories hurt me
But I couldn't let them go
I feel so pathetic
Carefully clutching a letter
To my aching chest
"I wish I was better..."
I fondle a necklace
So small and beautiful
It helps me so much
To feel less mournful
I may have lost your love
But this I promise to do
I'll cherish the memories
And never forget you...
