    I MISS HER

     The words touched me as I read them....
    Cut me to the bone........
    I surley do miss her...him
    I can't even call on the phone....

    I say it with pain.....
    I say it with sarrow.....
    I will say it plain....
    Time we can't barrow......

    My dad was different.... to some
    But I loved her so........
    I know this sounds dumb......
    But I think people should know.....

    Transgendered my dad was a lady....
    But if you knew her as I did......
    You would most certainly see......
    She was just a big kid to me.........

    Most of all I miss her.......
    She had to go........
    Life becomes a blurr......
    Losing people you love and know....

    So be kind to people today....
    Just know your life could change.......
    Nothing ever remains the same.....
    But that word you might say.....

    Could hurt some-one deep.....
    And cut them too the bone.......
    With just a tear you may weep.....
    When your loved one can't pick up the phone.....

    red, idk how you do it, but im sittin here and now you got my mind thinkin of my friends and all those people that i fight with all the time. not many poems actually make me want to (almost) change my actions, you did a great job with this one. very heart felt!

    How wonderful. One great thing about life is that if we live long enough we may learn to appreciate the important things. Just as a negative word can cut to the bone, it takes such a small act of kindness to be remembered for a long time. We all need to practice that more. Seems you have mastered the theme of kindness and omission of causing others unnecessary pain. I give you a well-deserved TEN!!!
