A Silent Shot
A silent shot in the night.....
No-one heard....
A life lost the fight......
His story gets told....
He worked all of his life.....
Doing the best as he should....
He loved his children and wife...
Like no-one could.....
He was losing it all.....
The house, his mind..........
He just wanted some one to take his call....
But this he never did find.....
You see, He was your cashier, cook, and so much more...
He did what ever he had to, to make a living....
He knew Gods love,
He read His word....
He just wondered if others knew this too.....
He just was seeing his country going into dismay....
He lost his job.......
And couldn't find work to make some pay......
To keep his house........
And feed his family...............
He tried and tried.......
And wondered why no-one could see..........
He thought to himself......
Every-one must be blinded by satan.......
Every-one but me.....
What else can it be.......
My neighbors are losing everything as well.....
But our government has another story to tell....
He thought some more......
As he headed out the door.........
He stopped to kiss his kids and wife....
He told them I love you.....
I'll be back.....
God will take care of you!
His family waited all night.....
As their husband and father was gone.....
But he lost the fight....
He had a needle and a dark ally way......
The shot was in his neck....
He was dead before the next day....
The cops shrugged their shoulders.....
As they said, " well there is another junkie dead!"
What they never saw or knew......
This was just their hard working father.....
One they never knew!
But before he died......
As he laid there high........
He couldn't help but think......
Of the millions of dollars his country spends.....
To fight a war on drugs they can't win....
Cause tonight there millions wont save his life.....
He will never go back home....
To his children and wife...
So the janitor, the phone operator....
He was once fit to be......
He went back to his Creator.....
And asked God, " Do you still love me?"
Jesus answered with a sigh.....
Of course I do my child!
Then Jesus said to him....
"The wickedness of man is always before me.........
People lack with out cause........
Mankind and what he thinks is right.....
Is not My righteousness at all....."
"I try to give........
To all.....
But mankind and the way they live...........
Prevents this, My will........
So your life came to call!"
"I understand! "Jesus said to him......
"You couldn't take their wickedness to-night.......
So you took the needle.....
And held it tight....."
"You stuck it in you neck.......
And hit the vain......
Saying what the heck.......
I feel my life was in-vain........."
But my child I love you............
And this you should know.....
To me you were so true................
But I know you wanted to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"Cause you didn't see My love any more........
Cause mankind is selfish......
And this I know for sure!"
So Jesus wrapped him in His love,
And wiped away his tears.....
Then took him above.....
And showed him all of his happy years.......
No-one heard....
A life lost the fight......
His story gets told....
He worked all of his life.....
Doing the best as he should....
He loved his children and wife...
