Imaginary Friend
One dark day I woke up
He was there, he was real
Big bright eyes beamed at me
He was nice as could be
Took my hand, made me stand
Said, ‘goodbye misery’
We’ll be friends ‘til the end
So now listen to me
He never walks away
When I’m talking to him
He will laugh at my jokes
When he don’t understand
Sometimes we get mad and
Sometimes we get sad
But he always comes back to me
Always comes back to me
Hand in hand we press on
The sun leading the way
Over each horizon
We will greet the next day
You and me, me and you
It was too good to be true
My imaginary
My one and only
