    Solitarily Dancing

Just the music on the road
    Rolling with the footsteps
The sound of wind rushing by
    Glittering streetlights across the bridge
    Darkness lies just beyond
It holds me and helps me
Rich moonlight sings in harmony with the fog
    Skipping around the corners
I suddenly come to a stop
I fall down on my knees as I’m kissed
    Tearing up in the silence
The music stops and I stand still
    Now able to see everything
I understand exactly where I am
And I skip on following the walkway
Never to reach an actual destination
    But still accomplishing much
    Solitarily dancing
    Singing my own song
    Loving every minute of it…
