Scared senseless for that first time
When your happy lips come toward mine.
Gone numb with pitiful delight
There’s no telling what’s gone on tonight
Standing there barely able to move
I try to gaze into your eyes to see what’s to prove.
Trying to catch my breath I avoid looking down.
Heart fluttering I can tell you’re there without a frown
Me and you both relax more and giggle a little
I lean against your chest for a comfort that’s subtle.
