My World's Wonders

My World's Wonders

Watching the wonders of the world pass me by
Squinting at them from a distance in the corner of my eye
Will I ever meet with the world of diversity and intrigue?
Why do I have this burning curiosity within me?

To taste the sweet wines of Italy and France
To tango in Argentina learning local dance
To see the Serengeti in all of its expanse
To explore Machu Picchu on a Peruvian ass

With so many places, people, and things
Our earth beaming evidence of intelligent creation
Somewhere deep inside me my heart sings
With the ear of intuition you can hear my elation

If only to embrace the warm sands of the Costa Rican shores
To browse the London streets and tour the city stores
To taste fresh-made Swiss chocolate right from its source
To gaze above at the Northern Lights in full force

Oh, how great is this place that we live in
Peoples of all sorts and cultures that vary
To love our home so much, our hearts give in
Thanks to our creator for displaying such glory
