Mind's Eye
My mind has a strange way of dealingWith every single unpleasant feeling
A strike across the face
In this unpleasant place
Has not been discovered as appealing
Take a step to the darkness of my dreams
See lack of variation with the scenes
Under negligent care
Which I feel is not fair
As is noted by the horror in my screams
With the closing of the eyes time passes
A theory understood by the masses
With the flick of a light
You can see the whole fight
All you need is a pair of eye glasses
Thus despite this despair not all is in vain
Without such self-pity there’s nothing to gain
The steps are so clear
You must not disappear
Stay close to the light and it’s presence remains
