    You Are All I Need

Just like a painting of luscious fruit
    You stand there blissful.

Soft as a pillow covered in silk
    You cradle me.

As everlasting as the roads mankind walks on
    You smile at me.

Like the white winged creatures of heaven’s majesty
    You illuminate all things.

As precious as the colorless life support
    You support me.

Just like the scent of a fallen leaf
    You fill the air.

Sweet and sour like drops of lemon rain
    You give me chills.

As there are needed ingredients to make wonders
    You are all I need.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
