    Honeymoon Cabin

Sleepier than cocoa mixed in a little hot cup
Sitting wrapped inside your relaxed hands

Breaks between sips for strums on the guitar
Your fingers know just how to tickle the ears

Staring at the haven for warmth, purposefully built
Gathered in your arms underneath a blanket

Comfort and sighs of great pleasure released
You close your eyes and I close mine, we sleep

A cabin in the woods placed upon a winter hill
Scattered mist through the white coated trees

Echoes twisting through the timid frosty river
Your warmth and mine combined sound throughout

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
