Disappear

Poem Commentary

I have noooo clue when I wrote this or out of which depths these words came from.. Makes no sense to me but maybe someone else out there can relate.

Disappear

Salute their dark shadows as you see them walking by

All these slightly insane vampires on a high-wire

Dropping stagnant water in rain-like formation

Not a single slip up until their death is sure-fire

They’re gonna rip off your masks and start with the flasks

If you’re troubled in heart they’re not gonna give you a start

So darken your nails and crawl through the mud

Don’t pull your hair back cuz they’ll come and take it away

Their only motive is to scare you and then disappear

So they can see you fail and cry at least for today

Make them pay for the things that they did

Kiss their feet and wipe their mess from your forehead

Show your dismay as long as someone will bleed

Just make sure when they go that they leave you for dead.

Sinister language combines with sentiment and fuses a confused tale of vampire's wrath.. Interesting write...had to think it through a bit.

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.
