Poem Commentary

The title and poem say it all; It's finally summer (:

It's In The Air

The sun is shining, rays here to drown

The hybernation of winter, and with it the frowns.

The trees with their buds, starting anew,

Leaves at the ready to present their debut.

My soul is soaring as high as the birds,

My mind trying and failing to find words,

to describe the hope my spirit does hold,

the optimism of the season begins to enfold

Every woman, man, and child full of cheer,

for summertime is finally here.

Very nicely written. good use of rhymn and rhythmn in this work a 10

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
