Let's Talk

Let's Talk

Before I let you go
Let's talk...real talk
Like really for real now
Been doin' some thinkin'
It's time
And I'm ready
Here I go on another long tangent

A life-changing experience that helped me to grow
Helped me to realize the revelations and epiphanies
being thrust at me and clutter my mind with fantasies of what used to be
You are not real, so just stay the hell back

"Can you stand the rain," because as you can tell I am starting to understand
Startin' to get it, you are not the same girl from around the way

The wheels are a turnin'
Everything is becoming much clearer
Do what you do, livin' your life, but somethin' just ain't right
Used to spend more time on your craft

What's happened to you?
You're spendin' way too much time thinkin' of boys, sex, and alibis'
Go back to that sweet, innocent

Job's on the line
But you will find better
Popularity ain't all it's cracked up to be

Writing is your passion
So keep on writing
Don't try so hard, just be who you are
Goin' full throttle, but sometimes it's best to just slow down
Lay low
Relax and take a breathe

Always thinkin'
Always analyzin'
You wonder what goes on in my head
I've got thoughts of you runnin' rampant
But I know better

"Love takes time to heal when you're hurting so much"

Be cool
Give me time
Be easy
And just let me go for now

I know it will be hard
I know it will be rough
But it's a long, hard road that we can conquer together

Can't call you until you are ready
Can't touch you until I'm ready

Hang in there
Because you're in for a bumpy ride
Too little, too late
Nope sorry, been there done that
I don't hate you, but I don't love you

Listen.
Just listen
And
let me go...

i like this. this reminds me of so many people ive seen in Baltimore give up on things they want to accomplish in life. and it makes me sad. Sydney

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
