    A Single Mother's Prayer

    Building brick upon brick
    Building regret
    Building sacrifices
    I hear the baby cry
    Oh Lord, why must I get up
    Dear Lord, why does the baby have to drink so much
    Time for another feeding
    Time for another diaper
    I wish I had some help
    I wish for more
    In the eyes of God a precious jewel
    No way can one take it away
