Never Again

Never Again

Never again shall I have my heart torn to pieces by you

Never again shall I lay eyes on you

Never again will I try to hold a conversation with you

I won't say "hi"

I won't speak

Won't even look in your direction

Maybe you're too good for me

Or I too good for you

My heart will mend

But the tears still stain my face

Two different worlds that happened to cross paths

So beautiful and strong we could have taken the world on

Never again shall I hate you

Never again shall I love you

Never again will I fight it

Never again will I ever hide these emotions

Never again will I deny these  feelings

Never again shall I allow you  to make me think

differently

Never again shall I allow you to make me act differently

I feel you, but you don't feel me

Never again shall I allow you to make me feel confused anymore

Never again shall I feel distraught

I don't wanna lose you

I don't want it to be awkward

But unfortunately that's how it's going to be for never again shall I feel a pain so deep

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
