    Look At Me Now...Look At Me Then

    I watch. I observe.

    I listen. I hear.

     

    Look at me…

    See me.

    Look at who I am.

    See what is to come.

     

    No longer the child who

    Used to tag-along after you hanging on every word

     

    No longer the one you can tell what to do

    And expect to drop everything just to do what you say.

     

    No longer the scared little girl that you used to yell at or go runteldat to mommy or daddy.

     

    You've taught me well…

    To be strong

    Hang tough

    How to stand my ground.

    Now it's time to sit back

    Think…

    Reminisce.

    I am a woman now

    Overcoming all strikes against me.

     

    Try to shut me down

    But I got faith and love

    From my Heavenly Father above that keeps my head held high.

     

    Ain't nothin' gonna stop me

    From achievin' my dream.

     

    So look at me now

    Look at me then

    And soon you're gonna see a whole 'nother side of me.
