    When’s It Gonna Be My Turn…

     When’s it gonna be my turn
    A chance to find love

    When’s it gonna be my turn to hold that everlasting child of mine

    When’s it gonna be my turn at my calling

    When’s it gonna be my turn for my Boaz to find his Ruth

    I watch from afar and see the outpour of love and admiration for others.

    When’s it gonna be my turn when White isn’t right and Black isn’t seen as angry.

    When is the time for me…

    I’m so sick of the wait
    I’m so sick of the patience

    My heart tugs and a longing within me has seen better days
    The glimmer of hope I once had has faded away into a dismal abyss far, far away

    In the ordinary the glory of His Word tells me that I’m moving in the right direction.

    A wondrous miracle that will be extraordinary.

    But when’s it gonna be my turn have what is truly deserved of me.

    So patiently I wait, patiently I ponder, and then like a breath of fresh air it happens to make me wonder no more, but then I awaken and realize it was just a dream.
