My Beloved Sister
Oh my dearest sister, how I dread this day
By the time this poem is finished you will have gone away
If you could have I know you would have stayed a little longer
Maybe then I would have managed to be a little stronger
Your demise has taken quite a toll on our family
Our only choice is to help each other through this tragedy
Everyone deals with death in their own particular way
Death is a peaceful end to suffering's horrible price to pay
Only time will make your absence easier to bare
In the meantime we will grieve for you because we care
Your loving memory shall remain for each of us to keep
You gave us your kindred spirit before you went to sleep
Now you're among the Angels so your suffering has ceased
Now rest my beloved sister you deserve eternal peace
