    Hurricane Katrina


    powerful winds and heavy rains
    are elements of hurricanes
    vicious are these hurricanes 
    living up to their given names
     
    hurricanes are not Louisiana's first
    she's had many but Katrina's the worst
    as she wreaked havoc through southern states
    many were forced to evacuate
     
    people took cover to survive
    unfortunately many lost their lives
    Katrina gave the worst of her fury
    many scurried to avoid injury

    dodging debris everywhere it landed
    residents were left homeless or stranded
    notorious mighty winds owned her name
    a rage of destruction is her claim to fame

    Yes and here in California, we have Earthquakes but never have I experienced a quake with the magnitude that Katrina had on her perilous act of revenge upon the Southern States.. Until then, we wait for her next fatal visit. Thank you for your comments.

    A very bad incident, no doubt. It is for reasons like this that I would say it's just the Earth trying to rid itself of the human parasite.
