TO MY SON
To my son, the oldest one.Raising you has been a lot of fun.
I didn't know when I was carrying you, that you would be so amazing.
You were never afraid to let your intelligence shine.
That look in your eyes was all mine.
You've taught me a lot of things along the way.
You brightened up many of my darkest days.
You've been a child older than your years.
Making decisions that bring lesser men to tears.
I really admire the person you are.
Not only are you the apple of my eye, your my shining star.
In the nineteen years you have been on this earth, you have allayed my fears and dried my tears,
In your upbringing, I had my own rebirth.
I want to say thank you for coming through me.
You are a wonderful reflection of the me I want to be.
