    Bare Bones

     Truth be told, I wear a jokers mask
    Smiling, laughing, mischievous ways
    All of which belie my past
    Oh God, there's so much pain
    Equal amounts of blame
    And I know it might sound lame
    But I swear Im innocent

     
    Good intentions underscore my guilt
    But these foundations are made strong,
    This is the house that I have built 
    I've built it proud and strong 
    Blood, sweat, tears all adorned
    Scars as wide as days are long
    Heart protected, thick cement

     
    There is a place
    There is a time
    A warm embrace
    Thats mine, all mine 
    There is still hope
    There has to be
    Feelings evoked 
    Will set me free
    A wounded heart
    One day will mend
    A love will start
    All pain will end.

    What can I say but that it was a good read; But just some advise i read,try to check the validity between ur 1st and last line.Try to mak them equally powerfull cuz ur fiirst line iis slamming but ur last not so much,thats my 2cents.good poem man.

    The poem seemed to read wth ups and downs both to me, kind of hard to do when writing a piece and intentionally trying. Great work rainz, I hope to see you around and continue writing.

    There is so much hope in this. I have that same hope, but my enthusiasm for it isn't quite like yours. very nicely written.
