Eagles View
I read this world like its second grade fiction
Non sensical, callous, corroded by lies
Happiness, joy - are but reeds that we cling to
Then helplessly watch as they're washed by the tide
And i'd love to travel all over the earth
And become lost in love in a far away land
To use up my time for all that it's worth
And fulfill all my dreams as best as I can
But this life isn't mine
And neither is time
The illusion of freedom of choice is a lie
So I'll say with a smile
"While Im always on trial,
It'd be nice just to see you
Once in a while..."
Few things in life are so pure you can cling to
Much like a moth that is drawn to the light
Nobody knows what I've seen, what I've been through
My words can reflect on the world through my eyes...
