Winter In The Sun
Cant put my mind at ease
So many voices screaming, stressing
Sunshine and gentle breeze
I know I should count my blessings...
As I fight these memories
I can feel myself regressing
A life spent trying to please
Time was wasted second guessing...
Wont you give me a little smile?
I could use some love for mending...
If you could see life through these eyes of mine
I know you'd comprehend me
Im so used to being lone
Inside my head I've always been
Im so far away from home
That old porch light has grown so dim
This big heart has turned to stone
True to life, now stern and grim
It reflects what its been shown
Chances of recovery - slim...
Wont you give me a little smile?
I could use some love for mending...
If you could see life through these eyes of mine
I know you'd comprehend me
