Poignant Observation
I remember a time
When the sun used to shine
Over me, and give me peace of mind
But that time has long since faded
I remember days
Through a shrouded haze
Life was simpler in many ways
Before it left me jaded
I look around to find these faces, sullen, sad
So here's a toast to all the friends I used to have
I remember when
Days I used to spend
Loving life without an end
Now they've all but dissipated
Being young, serene
Seems a distant dream
Thought we could do anything
But our thoughts were overrated
I look around to find these faces, sullen, sad
So here's a toast to all the friends I used to have
We are the fallout of a world that we don't understand
Its plain and clear for all to see that we've been had.
When the sun used to shine
Over me, and give me peace of mind
But that time has long since faded
I remember days
Through a shrouded haze
Life was simpler in many ways
Before it left me jaded
I look around to find these faces, sullen, sad
So here's a toast to all the friends I used to have
I remember when

Now they've all but dissipated
Being young, serene
Seems a distant dream

I look around to find these faces, sullen, sad
So here's a toast to all the friends I used to have
We are the fallout of a world that we don't understand
