Chance
The laughter and the heartache,
seem to be two as one.
An interwoven complex
that may be more than just a sum.
So genuflect when wondering,
if the cause
of this subtle region
that we may all be pondering,
is in the pause,
the syntax
left in the wake
of the matter when we are smitten,
for in this test of reason,
the spoken heart defies the written.
