    Poem Commentary

Love the Skin you are In. God made you that way. You are unique. There is none like you.

    My BLACK Is BEAUTIFUL

    I AM BLACK
    I AM BROWN
    I AM YELLOW
    I AM TAN
    My BLACK is BEAUTIFUL
My tone is not who I AM.
God gave me eyes to see every man, woman, and child.
All have a birth right to make goals to reach for the sky.
God gave me ears to listen and learn.
I hear that people will hate me, knowing I have many crosses to bare and burn.
God gave me a brain to learn and accumulate wisdom.
I will model to someone else the mantra ,"Each1Teach1."
God gave me a heart to love one another.'
It's irrelevant if it's not my blood father, mother, sister, or brother.
    I'm telling you now, WORLD
    My BLACK is BEAUTIFUL
    That is who I AM
    That is Gods word......
    Ya Heard!

    Amen

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
