  • Learn yourself, love yourself, and respect yourself! Your past is but on step towards your future.

Sister in Law

sister in law , we aren't sworn enemies ,
we are like fingers on the same fist.
to criple me , is to criple yourself.
we aren't the same , but we both bring wealth
of our endowments to the famliy structure.
time wasted , destroys the future of
our shared legacies.
a friendly competion if any , is all we need.

Sister in law , look at your beautiful smile ,
your special way with the kids , and ability
to allow others to shine. For some women
have never had a sister , you may fill that space.
we stand to teach each other much, the coming
together our families is a historical treasure.

Sister in law , it's not been easy to penetrate
through the existing walls , we've stumbled ,
laughed , and rose together. even through the hazy
windows of inherited dysfunction. For your role is
of importance to the family . Your a sister , a wife , a aunt , a
stand in mother , and an extra daughter.

Sister in law , thank you for the times you prayed for me.
thank you for the times you thougt of me . Thank you for the time we spent together.thank you for the uniqueness you
spun into my life, allowing me to become a better woman.
Thank you for standing your ground , so that you'd be respected.Thank you for being a listening ear, for being a
quite cheerleader, those heart to hearts in private.  oh, thank you for being so supportive .

Sister in law , over the years , we've had our differences in oppions , styles , but somehow we managed to always find common ground.
Thank you for being a friend when I needed, for talking the truth to me . For knowing who I truely am , when the world turned it's back. Thank you for treating my mother with respect as I treated your mother.I lastly thank you for accepting me for who I am.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
